How to Pin Videos on TikTok

How to Pin TikTok Videos

Pinning content on your social media profiles is not new. We have seen it on Instagram, with pinned posts. In case this is something new for you:

💡Pinned videos refer to videos that are placed at the top of the creator’s profile, regardless of the date you posted the content. 

You’ll recognize it because when you enter a TikTok profile, a sign appears at the top with the text ‘Pinned’. Even if you upload new videos, the TikTok you have pinned will remain at the top.

And now that the introductions are done, how can you pin a video on TikTok?

• Go to your TikTok account.
• Choose the video you want to pin and open it.
• Inside the video, click on the three dots on the right and click on ‘Pin video’.
• Done!

However, 

▶️ To find out if you have followed the steps correctly, just go back to your profile and update it by swiping down or exiting the app and re-entering.

▶️ You can only pin up to three videos: if you add a new one, the third one you chose will disappear. 

▶️ The order in which the TikTok will appear will be the order you selected, not based on the publication date. That is, the last TikTok you pin is the first one that appears pinned to your profile

How to unpin TikTok videos

Do you want to remove your videos from the top of your profile? This way, you can remove the pinned videos to add new ones. 

You can replace them with others or remove them from the first rows. It’s up to you:

• Go to your TikTok profile.
• Click on the video you want to remove from the top of your profile
• Click on the three dots on the right.
• Tap on ‘Unpin’.

You can now add new videos to your TikTok profile

Extra tip: pin comments

TikTok also gives creators the chance to pin comments at the beginning of the comments received on a video. Either yours or a user’s

This option is handy if that comment has answered a popular question or you consider it might be useful for users. 

To do this:

• Click and hold on to the comment you want to highlight.
• Click on the Pin comment option.
• This comment and all replies will remain at the top of your TikTok videos.
